Equality
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service forms part of the Safer and Stronger directorate of Cumbria County Council.
Corporate Council policies in respect of equality apply to the Fire & Rescue Service. The Council has an overarching Cumbria Equality Scheme 2007-10 and a separate Race Equality Scheme and a Disability Equality Scheme which meet our statutory obligations.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service produces an annual Equality Plan which sets out the actions which will be taken to meet the requirements of the corporate Cumbria Equality Scheme.
