Green Action at Work

Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service actively works to reduce its impact on the environment through the promotion of green initiatives. 

We have set up recycling schemes to manage a range of materials including, Paper, cardboard glass, plastics, batteries, toner cartridges, uniforms and have installed two trial clothing banks which as well as reducing waste they create a revenue stream for the Firefighters Charity.

As a service we work closely with the County Council 'Green Action at Work'  team who guide us on reducing our impact on the environment.
