This FREE, 12-week TEAM programme offers young people (16-25) who are NOT currently in employment, education or training a unique opportunity to develop teambuilding and problem-solving skills by undertaking activities designed to challenge and develop each individual in a safe, fun and informal learning environment.
NOTE: People claiming benefits will not lose out while on the course.
Nationally recognised qualifications are delivered throughout the programme leading to increased employability for those who take part in this fun and informal learning experience. These include Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, a First Aid Qualification, 3 Key skills: Improving Own Learning, Problem Solving and Team Working and the City and Guilds Certificate in Personal, Teamwork and Community skills.
This course is not classroom based!! - We will be working from Maryport Fire Station and all activities are designed around practical tasks and group work, learning through doing and most of the time you will be 'out and about' with your Team of around 12 people.
