Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service run two portable sports arenas that provide positive sporting activities for young people in Cumbria. Firefit aims to reduce levels of anti social behaviour while boosting young peoples' aspiration, confidence and health through participation and achievement in sport.  

'By the time we had the portable arena set up we had 20-30 young people eager to participate. Its something new and exciting with a lot of potential for engaging young people' - Jason Youth Engagement Worker CFRS 

Firefit: Cumbria is one of the outstanding projects granted the London 2012 Inspire mark, the badge of London 2012 Inspire Programme which recognises exceptional and innovative projects inspired by the 2012 Games.
