At 1328 hours on Tuesday 29th July 2010, 1 appliance Barrow, 1 appliance Ulverston along with Watch Manager Roach attended reports of a road traffic collision on the A590 at Newland, Ulverston. On arrival accident involved 3 vehicles. Fire & Rescue Service Personnel used Chocks to remove 1 female casualty from a vehicle. The last appliance returned to home station at 1420 hours. At 1544 hours on Tuesday 29th July, 2 appliances Kendal along with Watch Manager Hanby and Station Manager MaGuire attended reports of a road traffic collision on Beehive Lane, New Hutton, Kendal. On arrival accident involved 2 vehicles. Fire & Rescue Service Personnel stabilised the vehicle to assist in removing 1 casualty. The last appliance returned to home station at 1636 hours. At 0004 hours on Saturday 24th July 2010, two appliances from Carlisle, along with Watch Manager Johnston attended reports of a property fire on Victoria Place, Carlisle. On arrival the incident was found to involve two wheelie bins on fire which had damaged the rear door of the premises. Firefighters used 1 hose reel to extinguish the fire and all appliances returned to home station at 0033 hours. At 0916 hours on Saturday 24th July 2010, two appliances from Penrith along with Watch Manager Johnston attended reports of a smoke logged building at Newton Rigg Campus, Newton Rigg, Penrith. On arrival the ground floor of a two storey building was found to be heavily smoke logged, upon searching the premise a small fire was found in the kitchen area and extinguished using 1 hose reel, 4 sets of breathing apparatus and thermal image camera. The fire involved a quantity of paper that had caught alight in the kitchen and was then removed to open air. Crews returned to home station at 2345 hours. At 1112 hours on Saturday 24th July 2010, one appliance from Maryport along with Station Manager Charlton were called to reports of a tent on fire at Spring Lea Caravan Park, Allonby.
One tent and small gas cylinder were destroyed by fire. Crews returned to station by 1153 hours.

At 2309 hrs on Thursday 22nd July 2010, two appliances from Millom attended a kitchen fire in Lord Street, Millom. Fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish a small kitchen fire. One male at scene was treated for smoke inhalation by the ambulance service. The fire involved a workshop measuring approximately 20 metres by 10 metres which was well alight on arrival. Crews extinguished the fire using a ground monitor and the Aerial Ladder Platform. An elderly gentleman was transferred to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle suffering from the affects of the fire along with angina. Crews returned to home station at 2239 hours.
