We have some exciting opportunities within the newly established pensions team within Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.
We are looking for individuals with extensive generalist pay, reward and pensions knowledge. If this is something that you possess, then we would love for you to apply for this new role within Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.
This role will support both the small and friendly pensions team and also the wider People and Talent (HR) team, these are busy teams with high workloads so having good self-motivation and exceptional organisational skills are a must. Some experience in the Firefighter Pension Scheme would be desirable. The role offers flexible working which allows you to create a better work life balance, with opportunities to work from home and also at our various stations across Cumbria. You will also have the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Within this role you will be expected to undertake some of the following:
- Provide professional advice on pay, reward and pension policies.
- Review and analyse data to support HR practises.
- Help to make sure that CFRS are complying with the recent changes to legislation, which includes the amendments to Regulations arising from the Matthews and Sargeant / McCloud remedies.
Our ideal candidates will have comprehensive pay, reward and pensions knowledge, have a good working knowledge of legal and legislative frameworks, and also be highly motivated and can keep up with a fast-paced work environment.
