About the Role


We are seeking motivated and engaging Fitness Instructors to support the delivery of the Service's fitness and wellbeing programme. You will work directly with operational employees to conduct fitness assessments, provide tailored fitness advice and training plans, and help promote a positive culture of health, wellbeing and operational readiness across the Service.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver annual fitness and wellbeing assessments in a professional, supportive and confidential manner.
  • Provide individual and group fitness advice, training plans and guidance to help employees achieve and maintain operational fitness standards.
  • Conduct health and fitness measurements, including blood pressure monitoring and body composition analysis, and signpost or refer individuals for further support where appropriate.
  • Support recruitment and engagement activities by providing fitness advice and assisting with fitness-related assessments for prospective operational employees.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensure fitness equipment and facilities are safe and compliant, and follow all relevant policies, procedures and risk assessments.

Salary: £13.47 an hour


Locations: Countywide (with a focus on North and South Lakes) 


Hours: Zero Hours (will include some evening work)  


Contract: 12 months fixed term
