Temp Assistant Chief Fire Officer - INTERNAL ONLY

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership as a key member of the Service Leadership Team, working closely with the Chief Fire Officer to deliver high performance and effective service outcomes.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies and transformation programmes, ensuring efficient use of resources, strong financial management, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture that supports employee wellbeing, engagement, accountability, and talent development, underpinned by the Core Code of Ethics.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, agencies, and communities to enhance service delivery, reputation, and collaborative working.
  • Deliver strategic command and operational oversight, including leadership at major incidents, ensuring effective governance, resilience, and compliance with regional and national expectations.

Location: Penrith - HQ 


Salary: ACFO salary plus 10% Operational Allowance


Job Type: Temporary Cover (6 months) – 42 Hours per week.
         
Eligibility: INTERNAL ONLY. Substantive Competent Area Managers only can apply.
