Work Life Balance

In Cumbria we want you to have a healthy balance between your work and home life and we have flexible working options to support this.

This page is under review by the HR Team and will be expanded in line with policies, procedures and guidance we are working on to ensure our employees have a good balance between work and home life. 

Flexible Working

We offer a number of flexible working options, including part time, compressed hours, flexi-time, term time, annualised house and job sharing. Many staff are agile workers using a variety of CFRS and non CFRS premises, and homeworking is supported by our ICT systems and team.

Additional Leave Purchase

You can purchase up to 10 days additional leave with the Additional leave Purchase Scheme.

Career Break

Take an extended unpaid break of between 3 and 12 months.
