About the role
We are looking for two Fire Protection Coordinator to join our Fire Protection Team. This role plays an important part in helping keep communities safe by supporting the delivery of the Service’s fire protection activities and ensuring the team operates effectively.
You will provide vital administrative and coordination support across key programmes, including the Risk Based Inspection Programme and Fire Interventions Programme. You’ll work closely with Fire Protection colleagues, helping to manage workloads, organise audits and ensure activities are delivered efficiently and on time.
This role combines organisation, communication and data management, working with colleagues, partners and external stakeholders to support fire safety delivery across the county.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Fire Protection Team, including booking audits, arranging meetings and managing inboxes
- Maintain accurate records of workloads, resources and performance to support effective planning and delivery
- Support the production and management of reports, documents and communication materials, including data input and analysis
- Assist in the administration and development of departmental systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Provide support for fire safety events and campaigns, working with internal teams and external partners.
What success looks like in 12 months:
- Confidently coordinating Fire Protection activities, with audits and programmes running smoothly and on time
- Maintaining accurate, reliable data and reports that support planning and decision-making
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues and partners
- Contributing to effective campaigns, events and continuous improvements across the team
